Wind moving hairrr

My project keeps jumping back to the subject of hair..I'm not sure whether I'm doing wind or hair, so I'm just going to keep exploring the movements of hair via wind? If that makes sense? I took photos of some of my friends with their hair blowing on windy days and I tried to recreate the movement on paper with ink, paint etc. Basically mark making! I stuck 3 sheets of normal A1 paper up on my studio wall and stuck on strips of masking tape, trying to create the idea of flowing hair. I then got loads of different coloured paints and started splattering it against the paper..in the end I stripped off the tape. I was kind of disappointed with the outcome, but I was still interested in the process. I might try it with just black indian ink and very thin strips of paints to try capture the intricate appearance of hair. Im also using silky thread and weaving it onto a plastic mesh at the moment, its beginning to look like strands of hair. I think I take this further and weave thread into paper? We'll see!
