Incompleted sculpture
Motion and movement...I'm concentrating on the wind, the power of the wind and the effects it has on objects. At the moment I'm pretty interested in the effects wind has on hair. I looked up greek mythology and found out most of the greeks at that time portrayed the "wind gods" to have long, thick, flowing hair. This inspired me to create a sculpture out of clay and wire of a womans head ( being the clay) and the wire coiled to look like flowing strands of hair. I planned on gathering objects that I've seen blowing in the wind eg. leaves, feathers, rubbish, broken umbrellas etc. However I found myself growing bored as I spent almost week at this sculpture and it was not what I wanted as it was static and I was focusing on movement etc.
